Pioneer Arms PPS-43C

The Pioneer Arms PPS-43C is a semi-automatic pistol version of the historic Soviet PPS-43 submachine gun, chambered in 7.62x25mm Tokarev with a 9.8-inch barrel and classified as a pistol due to its fixed folded stock and overall length. Manufactured in Poland at the Radom Plant with all Polish parts, it features a stamped steel receiver and barrel shroud, closed-bolt operation for enhanced accuracy, and includes two 35-round curved box magazines for substantial capacity in a compact design.

This redesigned firearm incorporates a front trigger guard safety, L-shaped flip rear sight marked for 100 and 200 meters, fixed blade front sight, and simple muzzle brake for controlled shooting. The permanently fixed folding stock and closed-bolt semi-auto action ensure compliance and reliability, while the stamped steel construction maintains the original's ruggedness with modern manufacturing precision. Weighing 6.7 pounds empty, it offers historical authenticity in a shooter-friendly package.

Ideal for collectors of military history, range enthusiasts enjoying surplus calibers, or those seeking a unique pistol with high capacity, the PPS-43C delivers potent performance in a storied platform. Its Polish craftsmanship and included magazines make it suitable for experiencing a piece of WWII-era design adapted for civilian use with dependable function and distinctive character.

Good Purchase

If you're sitting on the fence about buying one of these, I would say to do so soon. Since Pioneer Arms went out of business, these handy guns will be drying up really quickly. Apart from the other weapons that Pioneer used to make, these come in fairly good condition; the finish is rugged, the magazines that come with it all fit, also has a cleaning rod. The supplementary pieces of equipment like mag pouches and slings are plentiful on other sites as well. Tokarev ammunition may sometimes be difficult to find but you more than likely will not have to worry about reliability.
